Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island, is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world. Its inhabitants, the Rapa Nui, have endured famines, epidemics of disease and cannibalism, civil war, slave raids, various colonial contacts, and have seen their population crash on more than one occasion.
We wanted to make a Yow Surfskate model with this name, not only for the terrifying history it has, but for the amazing waves that some surfers have scored in the last few years. The desing of the graphic has being based on the ancient drawings the Rapa Nui culture used.
